Joshua's 18 months old and his nylon pants are one of the best things we ever bought him. He wears them every day, for playing in the backyard, for the sandpit, for going down to the river and sitting in the puddles, and even for crawling in the mud. We just put them on over his ordinary trousers, and afterwards we get him to stand still and hose him down before we let him in the house -- the pants are waterproof and the water doesn't go through. They're taking a real beating but are standing up to it well so far (5 months). If we didn't have them, we'd have to restrict his play a lot more and he'd miss out.
We are very pleased with Joshua's green polar-fleece vest. It's a good length so doesn't leave a big gap over his tummy the way many clothes seem to in this age group. It's a strong vibrant colour which hasn't faded or pilled with multiple frequent washings. It's particularly useful on coolish days when it's too cold for just a skivvy but too hot for a heavy jersey with full-length sleeves. We like the style of a vest because it allows for two contrasting colours on his top half, for example a strong blue top (with the green vest over it) which matches trousers of the same blue; it's more coordinated than just a green top and a blue bottom.

Got the pants friday morning and they are fantastic, we went down to Whakapapa and spent about 4 hours in the snow. Bronte stayed warm and dry, which was the thing I worried about most, making sure she stayed warm. I really appreciate the trouble you went to to get the pants up here Thanks so much, as I work in a pre-school centre I will be recommending your site to parents looking for these kinds of pants.
