Winter is well and truly here, especially in some parts of the country and so this month we look at some fantastic affordable waterproof overalls to keep our little ones warm and dry at the playground, on the farm, at the sports field or out at playgroup.
These Kruizey Kidz waterproof overalls are made from 100% polyester coated fully waterproof fabric and have adjustable shoulder straps, a small pocket on the front, elastic under the arms (for that extra comfort) and elastic around the legs to keep them warm and dry.
The overalls are a must have for every winter wardrobe. I first tried them out on a wet, showery Auckland day at playgroup where I take my 2 children, Emily who is 3 and Matthew who is 9 months and crawling. I hated leaving him inside to play, or sitting in the pram on the days when it had been raining and everything was a bit wet and muddy, so it was great to have these overalls and let him out to play. I plonked him in the sandpit where he happily played for ages and when it was time to go, the sand easily brushed off the overalls and he was still warm and dry and able to go straight in his car-seat without needing a complete change of clothes. Brilliant!
The overalls are well-made and I especially liked the adjustable straps (great for growth spurts!) and the elastic around the legs to keep the water out and help keep the gumboots on a crawler! They are made in New Zealand too so it’s great to support the Buy New Zealand Made campaign. The overalls come in 3 colours, red, royal blue and navy blue (as modelled by Matthew) and are available in sizes ranging from 9 months to 9 years. Kruizey Kidz also sells fully-lined waterproof overalls (lined with anti-pill micro fleece) which might be needed in the colder months or in the cooler parts of the country. The overalls would also be great for the snow. Kruizey Kidz also offers 100% satisfaction guaranteed or your money back, so you can’t go wrong!
I highly recommend these overalls, especially for winter as it means when the rain finally stops falling, you can actually get outside and have a play without worrying too much about the kids getting wet and cold. And anything that helps you and the kids get out of the house some days is a definite bonus!
